From first log to final delivery — a look inside how Orana Cabins are made in our Michigan workshop.
Every cabin starts life in our Newaygo, Michigan workshop — not in a factory, not from a flat-pack, not with cheap panels. Solid white pine is milled, stained, and assembled by craftsmen who have been building this way for years.
The walls go up in sections, each log carefully fitted. The framing follows traditional construction methods that give these cabins their character and structural integrity. The roof is iron — built to handle real Michigan winters.
When we're done, what you get is a complete, finished cabin. Wired. Plumbed. Floors laid. Trim fitted. Not a project — a product.
The skid base is built first — treated timber runners that form the cabin's footprint and allow transport. Then the wall framing goes up, section by section, inside our weatherproof workshop.
Solid white pine log siding is fitted to the exterior walls. Each board is stained by hand for the characteristic dark brown finish with chinking lines. The iron roof is installed last.
All electrical conduit and wiring is run through the walls before the interior is lined. Full plumbing roughed in for bathroom and kitchen. Ready for your on-site connections.
White pine interior lining, luxury vinyl plank flooring, cabinetry, trim, doors, and windows. The cathedral ceiling with exposed timber trusses is fitted and finished. Every surface complete.
These are all photos of actual Orana Cabins builds — no renders, no stock images, no tricks.

Every Orana Cabin comes with a structural warranty. The build itself is covered — systems carry their own manufacturer warranties. We're also developing an optional post-delivery service package for ongoing maintenance support.
If you want to come and see a build in progress, or inspect a completed cabin before ordering, just ask. We welcome it.
